Work on Bacha Khan Mausoleum to start soon

[18.Jun.2008 - 20:13] PESHAWAR: Construction work on Bacha Khan Mausoleum in Jalalabad in eastern Afghanistan would be started in the current month as contract with some leading construction firms was finalized in this regard.
Provincial chief of the Awami National Party (ANP) Afrasiyab Khattak, who returned from a three-day visit to Afghanistan, said that during his visit he held talks with engineers, construction firms and officials of Afghan government to expedite work on the Bacha Khan Mausoleum, initially consisting of shrine, mosque and offices of Bacha Khan Trust. Afghan President Hamid Karzai and ANP’s central chief and grandson of Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan laid down the foundation stone of Bacha Khan Mausoleum on July 14, 2007 in Jalalabad. Afrasiyab Khattak said the ANP as well as the Afghan government wanted to complete the project at the earliest for which fund would be collected by Bacha Khan Trust. Model of the mausoleum had already been approved, which would reflect Islamic, Central Asian and Pashtun architecture. Khattak said the house of Bacha Khan, located in Shesham Bagh, Jalalabad, would be converted into museum where all the belongings of the great nationalist leader and social reformer would put on display for the visitors 13.june 2008- دپښتنو قامی سنګر
