Following are the detailes which can be shared with writers. We would like to share that Pashto department has Initiated publication of the Research Journal which is recognized by Higher Education Commission(HEC) of Pakistan. This journal is purely dedicated to the Research work of (mainly) Pashtoon scholars at local,national, regional and international level.. The first issue of the journal is tentatively going to be published till the end of December. We expect a lot from all those who are either connected to the domains of scholarships as researchers and analysts or those who are teaching or associating in the universities or other academic institutions. This will be a pride for us to have your research paper published in our nascent and emerging journal.There is no honorarium or stipend for this task as we face run short of resource for such initiatives. Anyhow we expect and will be looking towards you for your papers. It is a biannual(6 monthly) and bi-lingual (Pashto-English) journal of Pure(academic) and applied (Action) Research. The proposed names are DEWA or SIRAGH You are also requested to help us in choosing a relevant and attractive name which can reflect the work of the journal. Configuration: The journal is consisting of 2 sections. Section1 caters 5 studies in Pashto and section 2 consists of 3 papers in English.. Themes of the Research must be in the context of Pashto and Pashtoon History, culture,Art, Language, Literature(Prose and poetry), gender roles, anthropology Mysticism and spirituality in general etc. The paper should be consisting of at minimum 4500 words- 5000 Words The paper should be in Pashto or English. It is optional but we have a larger space for papers in Pashto language. Along with other portions of the paper, Abstract or Brief introduction of the paper must be written clearly either in English or Pashto. For the upcoming (Initial) number of Journal you are requested to send the paper till November 15th ,2008. The papers can be sent online or through post.
