Pakhtun nationalist leader survives life attempt, two killed Sana Ul Haq

MINGORA, Swat: Former federal minister and central leader of ANP Afzal Khan Lala and Tehsil Nazim Matta Abdul Jabbar Khan injured and two persons including his driver and security guard shot dead by unknown armed persons on Friday. According to details, Afzal Khan Lala along with Tehsil Nazim Matta Abdul Jabbar Khan were on the way back towards home after attending the funeral ceremony of Talemand Khan, when they left Baidara village area of tehsil Matta some unidentified persons opened indiscriminated firing with automatic weapons on them from a nearby hideout due to which driver, Sher Ali, and security guard, Muhammad Khaliq, died on the spot. The injured were rushed to the Saidu Sharif Hospital for emergency treatment. Tehsil Nazim Matta Abdul Jabbar Khan received severe injuries while Afzal Khan Lala received minor injuries. Abdul Jabbar was nephew of the Afzal Khan Lala and both were traveling in one car. Afzal Khan Lala and Abdul Jabbar Khan came to Baidara to attend the funeral ceremony of Talemand Khan who was shot dead by some unknown persons on Friday after Fajar prayer. While talking to The Frontier Post, Afzal Khan Lala commented that, “a leader is always meant for giving sacrifices and I am even ready to sacrifice my own life and family for the unity of Pakhtuns of my area.” The nationalist leader reiterated that his mission was to keep the Pakhtuns uniting and from his this mission no one could deviate his attention. He said that the aim of of the attacker was to create chaos in the area where already deep law and order situation are being faced by the people. “The outsiders want to take law in their hands, but no resident will like to let the miscreant to do so,” he added. Maintaining peaceful environment, he said that all disputes should have to come to an end, “my door are open for dialogues, and I am ready to to give any sacrifice to maintain law and order in the area. The nationalist leader has appealed the party activists not to take any such action but they should endeavour to bring unity among the nation.
