A remarkable change is inevitable in the region for which Pashtuns should get themselves prepared before hand. Mother tongue he emphasized is a great identity marker. Germany was also divided into four different parts so were Pashtuns by the Britishers through a well planned conspiracy. However, he said German nation could reintegrated themselves into one national unity just with 45 years but Pashtuns he added could not unite themselves as nation despite elapse of more than a hundred years. Afzal Khan said unless language is patronized and properly owned and given official status, the question of Pashtun national unification would remain unanswered. He however, did not touch upon the modalities of the big change in the Pashtun region but asked the Pashtuns to forge unity among their ranks. He said that both Qamar Zaman Taizi and Dr Kabir Storay had contributed much to Pashto language and Pashtun cause. “Dr Kabir Storay was not only a renowned Pashto poet but also a great and honest political visionary.
